AI in the industrial environment - applications and provision

The AI- Summer school focuses on artificial intelligence and its applications. It offers lectures and practical exercises providing participants with an in-depth introduction to these topics. The program is delivered in collaboration with external experts from industry and academia.

This year's AI Summer School focuses on the practical application of AI models and the challenges associated with their development and deployment. The program covers, among others, the following topics:

 

  • Latest developments in the field of AI
  • Multi-agent AI systems
  • Training of AI systems, training schemes, usages of synthetic training data,
  • Transfer learning, drift detection
  • AI for industry and its specific challenges
  • AI in application: autonomous driving, healthcare, food industry, and much more.
  • AI in the cloud, AWS, Kubernetes
  • MLOps in practical application
  • TinyML and Edge Computing
  • Observability and explainability of AI.

 

The lectures, which are prepared in advance by the participants under the guidance of experts, and practical sessions are complemented by a wide range of leisure activities in the beautiful surroundings of Saxon Switzerland.

Where: Rathen/Sächsische Schweiz

When: 04.09. - 12.09.2026

Costs: 0€ for accommodation, meals, excursions, etc. (100€ deposit upon registration)

Applicants: STEM students from the 4th semester of their bachelor's degree (English/German)

Program structure: Flexible schedule with the ability to respond to weather conditions, with 50% lectures and maker sessions and 50% leisure activities, such as hiking/climbing, steamboat trips, sightseeing.
