Vanessa Juliane Herrmann, B.A.

I completed my Bachelor's degree in European Studies with a focus on cultural studies at Chemnitz University of Technology. During my studies, I spent a semester abroad in Iceland, worked as a parliamentary assistant in the Chemnitz City Council, and contributed to a research project on protest movements. Since October 2021, I have been working as a research associate at the Institute for Competence, Communication, and Languages (IKKS) at Mittweida University of Applied Sciences. In this role, I coordinated the international project RE-EURECA-PRO until August 2024.

Since September 2024 I am part of the Team of HI-EURECA-PRO. Alongside my work at the IKKS, I have been pursuing a Master's degree in European Integration at Chemnitz University of Technology since 2022. My current academic work focuses on science communication, particularly in relation to participation and various socially relevant transformation processes – especially in the context of sustainability and social change.
