Business English (2 of 2)

A very good knowledge of English as an economic and business language is indispensable in a globally networked working world. In this module, students expand their foreign language skills in speaking, listening comprehension, reading comprehension and writing with a business/professional focus, such as business meetings, advertising and marketing, company start-ups and business ethics. Students train skills in writing an agenda, describing charts, writing a press release, which enables them to communicate confidently, effectively and stylistically appropriately in English in international work processes after completing the module.

Teaching format: Blended Learning course/seminar

Blended Learning: = inverted classroom = weekly 90-minute face-to-face class AND and weekly 90-minute self-learning unit (using learning platform Moodle)

Assessment: oral group examination - simulation of a business meeting
