When I found one of my father’s old English textbooks, I had found the love of my life – English. That sounds rather dramatic, but that’s how it felt for me. From that moment on, I tried my very best to improve my English. I went on to a secondary school that taught modern languages and finally started my studies at the Chemnitz Technical University. As a student of English, German as a Foreign Language and Adult Education I got the opportunity to go on a PAD programme for Foreign Language Assistants that took me to Bath in England for 9 months. After returning to Germany, I finished my studies and graduated.

I found a job as a language trainer teaching English and German to adults and apprentices at a language school in Chemnitz. From time to time I got the chance to do some translations, which I rather enjoyed. So, after a while I decided to become a state certified translator, sat the exam and passed.

Since 2015 I have been working as a freelance translator and English trainer offering my services to businesses, translation agencies and private clients. In 2022, I joined the IKKS teaching Basic English, Advance Business English and Technical English for General and digital Forensics.
