Basic German B1.1
Improve your German reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills with this course. In class you will have discussions, play games, and do other activities to get more comfortable speaking and listening to German. You will engage with various topics, reinforce new vocabulary, and practice new grammatical structures. During independent study phases you will read articles and other texts, listen to German songs, podcasts or other recordings, and study vocabulary and grammar using explainer videos, digital self-study materials, and files provided by the instructor.
Prerequisites: A2-Level German.
Learning format: Blended Learning (= 2 SWS in-classroom learning AND 2 SWS independent -compulsory- learning online)
Course material: various (provided by the instructor and/or available at the university library)
Form of assessment: written and oral exam (listening/reading comprehension, written production, spoken interaction)
